Signs two new strategic alliances to strengthen support of Asian market

Edina, Minnesota – Phenomenal Networks announces the signing of two new strategic alliances for services and support in China and other Pac Rim countries. An alliance with Wafer Systems Ltd., a Cisco Gold Partner based in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), provides for local installation and support of systems sold by Phenomenal to local US companies that have sites in China and Hong Kong. The second agreement is with an PAC RIM Carrier whereby Phenomenal will lease a high speed fiber optic link, QoS (Quality of Service) enabled that will be used to provide local companies high speed, low cost access to their locations in the PRC, Hong Kong and other Asian sites. These lines will be capable of transmitting data, voice and video information at a cost saving of 50-85% of normal connections.

"We have always targeted local companies that have multiple locations including sites outside North America. Many of those are manufacturing companies with sites in China and other Asian countries. The new MPLS enabled, highly secure link will let us offer a great communications capability at the right price, where companies personnel will be able to communicate by video as well as voice and data. Engineers will be able to discuss blueprints while viewing them over the same line and teleconferences may be set up in a simple and low cost manner."
